On the last Sunday of 2014, I played a solo set in a gorgeous venue called The Wodan Halle in Freiburg. I was overwhelmed by the warmth and attentiveness of the audience. Special thanks to the sound engineer for taping my wandering sustain pedal to the floor - You're my hero! It was an absolute pleasure and I hope to be back with new music soon. Hello and thank you for visiting!
I'm a Dublin-born singer/songwriter based in St Albans, currently working on a new EP with ABC's bassist, Andy Carr. :)
Below is the first track Andy and I worked on together, to see if we were on the same wavelength (and make sure we weren't going to tear our hair out over creative differences - we didn't!). With the help of Richard Allen, a talented cinematographer, and actors Bianca Baikie and Zach Wilson, a video was filmed for the track around various locations in St Albans. This was selected for screening at the St Albans Film Festival 2014! As this was a side project of sorts, I am very happy with how it turned out.
Back in 2010 a small group of parents and staff from The Marlborough Science Academy came together to build on the idea of hosting a music festival as a PTA fundraising event. With a small stage and audience and just a handful of performers, the festival just about broke even.
6 years later and the very same team with the help of further volunteers have established M Festival as a fantastic annual event that has now raised in excess of £30,000 for the school. Things have changed slightly since 2010 and with a much bigger stage, better sound, more entertainment, lighting, pyrotechnics, activities, food & drink and a firework finale, M Festival has come along way and now attracts over 2500 people.
We hope to see you on Saturday 9th July to make our 7th M Festival even better!
